Mr. Michael O'Brien » October - Bullying Prevention Month

October - Bullying Prevention Month

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and we have lessons and events in place to provide students with expectations and education on bullying. I will be sending out a survey this week to all students asking about their experiences with Bullying at Vintage Hills. My staff and I will analyze this data to support our efforts in preventing /educating /stopping any type of bullying at our site. Oct. 7-11; Mrs. Navarette and I will be presenting in classrooms and having discussions about No Bullying/Harassment/or Intimidation allowed, with each presentation being catered to grade level understanding. A more detailed email will be sent out to all parents prior to these presentations so you may have a discussion with your child to support our Bullying Prevention education.  Oct. 14-18; is our Book Fair, and  Digital Citizenship Week - Cyber-Bullying Prevention week, followed by Oct. 21 - 25; Red Ribbon Week.  The last week of October will see Diwali at school on Oct. 28, and Halloween on the 31st (Costume Parade/Class Parties/Minimum day schedule) with November 1 being a No School for students, but this is a Staff Development day for teachers. So many things for our community to celebrate, learn about, and support.
