COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster Clinics for PUSD

A message from Superintendent David Haglund, Ed.D.

Dear PUSD community,

I am excited to report that our Pandemic Services Team has partnered with the Alameda County Public Health Department, Haller’s Pharmacy, Safeway, and the City of Pleasanton to host four local COVID-19 vaccination / booster clinics in the next few weeks for any eligible staff, student, or family member.

The CDC now recommends that all 12-17 years olds get boosted 5 months after completing their primary series for those who received the Pfizer vaccine. Moderna recipients can get boosted after 6 months. Individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine qualify for a booster after 2 months.

Vaccinations, and a subsequent booster for eligible adults and youth, continues to be the best way to protect your health, and the health of those around you. Please review the opportunities below and register at your earliest convenience, as there are limited doses available and registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Note that while there are TWO doses in the initial vaccine series, you will only need to register for the first date at this time. Eligible individuals who are looking for a booster may sign up for any of the 4 clinic dates listed below. Students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult.

Haller’s Pharmacy Clinics: January 12 & February 2 at the Pleasanton Senior Center

Booster or Series Dose One: Wednesday, January 12 - 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. @ Pleasanton Senior Center

  • Initial dose or booster for eligible persons

Booster or Series Dose Two: Wednesday, February 2nd - 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. @ Pleasanton Senior Center

  • Second dose or booster for eligible persons

Register at https://my.primary.health/l/hallersvaccineclinic

Helpful tips for vaccination day:

  • Well-fitting, high-quality masks are required to be worn by all
  • Bring your CDC vaccine card (for 2nd dose or booster appointments)

These vaccine opportunities will further enhance the safety of our campuses for both students and staff. We will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

I also want to thank our partners at the City of Pleasanton for their logistical support of our Pandemic Services Team at the clinics, as well as the Alameda County Health Care Services Agency and Public Health Department for their ongoing support.

Sincerely,

David Haglund, Ed.D.
